The EMEAPP Institute is the formal, academic research branch of EMEAPP. The Institute brings together a diverse range of scientists, engineers, musicians, composers, historians and scholars in other fields to conduct world class research and eduction in electronic music, including its technology, performance techniques and history.  The Institute’s research leverages the unique and extensive collection of vintage electronic musical instruments at EMEAPP as well as our well-equipped technical working spaces and the diverse expertise of our in-house staff and our local expert services in electronic music restoration and preservation. The Institute’s mission is to provide scientifically rigorous as well as musically useful information to the general public that enhances the understanding of the remarkable achievements of the pioneering inventors, composers and performers of electronic music.
